The sparse woodlands and open skies of East Suffolk are not regarded by many as creative hive of musical activity. In fact some would venture to say that there’s nothing there. But then again they would be wrong. Out of the quaint town of Halesworth and surrounding hamlets emerges a force to be reckoned with. A shrouded being of intricate guitar work, howling vocals and piercing brass. The extension of 7 creative minds allowed over the years to mature and develop together are what makes up the sonic, melodic and artistic vision that is Solko. Merging genres from dub rock, to psychedelia to indie, Solko have spent 10 years honing their craft and bidding their time.

Late 2015 saw the release of ‘DOG’ which was highly praised by BBC6 music presenter Tom Robinson. Solko are set to record and release more new material in 2016.
